Silent Auction

Thanks to the generosity of our talented local artists the Abbotsford Arts Council is pleased to be able to present the following items for silent auction.  Click on each of the images on this page to view a larger image.

The following two paintings were donated by Etta Hellyer, whose art began after retirement when she received a gift of a painting course from her husband, Bill.  "A sheet of white blank paper can be overwhelming," says Etta, "but with the beauty of nature that surrounds us, it always amazes me that one can create a painting with a lot of patience, effort and imagination.  My inspiration has been with me since I first remember my Grandmother's garden and later, my Father's roses."

Jewellry designer, Leslie Easte has won many awards for her beautiful jewellry.  Her love for Mill Lake has inspired many of her designs.  "Mill Lake is a wonderful place to be," says Leslie.  "It is set right in the middle of our small city and basically hidden from view.  I walk around this lake several times a day and consider myself to be very lucky."  Leslie has designed many pieces of her jewellry using leaves and flower petals that she sees in the park.  She has donated a Mill Lake Leaf and a Mill Lake Rose Petal, as well as one of her signature jewellry sets.
