WE INVITE YOU TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE ABBOTSFORD ARTS COUNCIL

The Abbotsford Arts Council was created to develop and enhance the arts in the Abbotsford community.  The Arts Council consists of members, volunteers, and directors representing the diverse artistic, economic, political, and cultural interests of community members of all ages.

- Members in good standing are entitled to one voice or vote in the election of the Directors of the Abbotsford
  Arts Council.  Member groups in good standing are entitled to one representative voice or vote in the election
  of Directors

- Members and member groups are invited to attend bi-annual open houses, and are encouraged to take an
  active role in establishing the direction and focus of the Board.

- Members and member groups receive a copy of the "Eye on the Arts" newsletter sent by post or email.  Five
  issues are produced per year. Member groups are encouraged to submit information on programs, events, and
  participation opportunities for inclusion in the newsletter and  
  on the website.

- Membership is a requirement for participation in various Arts Council programs and events, and exhibition
  opportunities to show and sell art in Kariton Gallery.

- Member groups are provided with the opportunity to use Kariton Gallery for one meeting, class, rehearsal or
  event per month.  In the event that the Gallery is not booked, additional dates may be arranged.

- Member groups in good standing may choose to participate in the Abbotsford Arts Council 's Group Liability
  Insurance Program.  This program was created to provide member groups with affordable liability insurance.

- Member groups in good standing may request guidance with writing grants.  It is advisable that all
  organizations submitting grant applications have another person, not directly involved, proof read the
  document.  The proof reader may address questions that have not been clearly articulated in the
  documentation.  A letter of support may also be requested to accompany the grant application.

ENVISION COFFEE HOUSE CONCERT SERIES

Abbotsford Arts Council, in partnership with Envision Financial, is pleased to announce the return of the very popular Envision Coffee House Concert Series.

Every Saturday evening from April to the end of June and then again from September to the end of November, residents will have an opportunity to hear free, live music in various genres such as jazz, blues, country, pop, rock, bluegrass, folk and more.
